Field-driven domain wall (DW) motion in magnetic nanowires with easy- and hard-axis anisotropies has attracted much interest in nanomagnetism studies. In this talk, I will introduce our research works on the DW motion in the presence of the bulk Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI), which was analytically and numerically studied based on the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation. We proposed a new trial function and found an exact solution for DW motion along a uniaxial nanowire driven by an external field. A new strategy was suggested to speed up DW motion in a uniaxial nanowire with large DMI parameters. In the presence of hard-axis anisotropy, we found that the breakdown field and velocity of DW motion was strongly affected by the strength and sign of the DMI parameter under external fields. The work may be useful for future magnetic information storage devices based on DW motion.

孙周洲,1999年本科毕业于浙江大学物理系,2006年在香港科技大学物理系获得理论物理博士学位。2006-2008年在香港城市大学物理与材料科学系任研究员,2009-2011年获德国洪堡基金会资助在德国雷根斯堡大学理论物理所任研究员。2011年8月至今任苏州大学物理科学与技术学院特聘教授,博士生导师。发表多篇具有高影响因子的论文,包括Phys.Rev.Lett., Phys.Rev.B, Appl.Phys.Lett.等。目前主要研究兴趣有自旋电子学,纳米磁动力学,磁光理论及量子输运理论等。
